Notes on this Watch Type:
The automatic watch is fitted with 2 movements from ETA (2824-2). The ETA 17 jewel movement was made in Hong Kong and fitted to the early watches (<93) and the later watches were fitted with the 25 jewel movement made in Switzerland 2824-2 (Swiss made). The later watches are very well made in comparison to the first Automatics the noticeable difference is the attractive glass back plate.

Watches ID (last 3 numbers): "Camel Watch" Automatic

This watch: The big question is: "Is this a fake?" The Logo states on the Box, Instructions, Case sticker even the warranty card that this is a "Camel watch" and not a "Camel Trophy". The watch was made in Hong kong (stamped on inside of case cover) and if it is a fake it has been very well copied! This watch was brought in Southern Germany on the 4th March 1991 and has a reference number 136.158 UMA91/60 This watch is as new / unused.. I am quite sure that "Camel watch" was the intended name for the watches but due to Tobacco advertising laws the name had to be changed.
